Denis Drăguș returns to training with FCSB after knee injury

Denis Drăguș has returned to full training with FCSB after recovering from a knee injury. The forward no longer reports pain and has resumed normal activities with the squad. This development comes ahead of FCSB's Cupa României fixture against Gloria Bistrița scheduled for 29 October.

Drăguș had been sidelined for approximately one month. He sustained the injury during a 0-5 defeat to Universitatea Craiova on 19 September. Since that match, he missed several fixtures while undergoing recovery.

His absence continued through the recent league match against Rapid. Club owner Gigi Becali excluded Drăguș from the squad for that game, which FCSB won 4-1. The decision kept the forward out of action while he completed his rehabilitation.

Head coach Laurențiu Reghecampf now faces a decision regarding Drăguș's immediate involvement. The manager may choose to include the forward in the lineup for the cup tie against Gloria Bistrița. Alternatively, Reghecampf could opt to ease Drăguș back into competition gradually.

If the coaching staff decides against rushing his return for the cup match, Drăguș could target the league game against ”U” Cluj on 2 November. This later date would allow for additional conditioning time before facing top-flight opposition.

Drăguș has seen limited playing time for FCSB this season. He has accumulated only 61 minutes of action across all competitions. His appearances include 19 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Petrolul and 40 minutes in the heavy loss to Universitatea Craiova where he was injured.

Before joining FCSB, Drăguș played for Trabzonspor in Turkey. During his tenure there, he featured in 26 matches. He recorded three goals and provided one assist for the Turkish side.

Transfermarkt lists Drăguș's current market value at two million euros. His return to fitness adds depth to the FCSB attacking options as the team competes in both domestic league and cup tournaments.
