Your choices
Optional Google Analytics measurement loads only after you accept analytics and remains off on this Privacy page. You can reject it with equal ease or change your choice from this page. With JavaScript disabled, optional tracking does not run.
First-party measurement
With analytics consent, ScoreTransfer also counts page visits, Daily opens, stories viewed for at least one second, and full article opens in its own database. A random browser identifier rotates daily and is removed when you reject analytics, together with the tab journey identifier. Unique counts represent browsers per Bucharest day, not identified people or cross-device identities. We store a daily hash of the browser identifier and the request IP address to identify and exclude internal traffic from statistics. IP addresses, approximate country/city estimates, ordered page navigation and selected click actions are visible only in our authenticated admin. A tab identifier separates browsing journeys; it rotates daily. Click records use fixed action names and cleaned destinations, without form text or search queries. We also store cumulative active reading seconds and maximum scroll-depth milestones per measured page view. Active time uses focused, visible activity with a 60-second inactivity cap; it is an estimate, not proof that a report was read. Event-level records, IP activity and unique-browser hashes are retained for 30 days; aggregate daily totals for one year. An IP exclusion rule is kept until it is removed. Short-lived network hashes help limit automated abuse. Query strings, form contents and Google account preferences are not recorded. Privacy and saved-story pages are excluded. This measurement operates independently of Google Analytics but uses the same analytics consent.
Traffic measurement
With consent, Google Analytics measures visits, sessions, page views, traffic sources, approximate countries, devices and popular stories, plus article reading, related-story clicks and aggregate follow/save actions using article or approved club identifiers. Analytics cookies may identify repeat visits. We do not send names, email addresses, search terms or query strings. Article events use story identifiers.
Google processes measurement data, which may involve processing outside your country. Read how Google uses information from sites using its services and Google’s privacy policy.
Reader impressions
If you leave an impression on an author page, your chosen name, star rating, comment and date are public and can be shared by other readers. Do not include private contact details. A random preference saved on your device lets you update or delete your own impression without creating an account. We store its hashed identifier and short-lived hashed request limits to reduce abuse. Clearing device storage removes your access to that deletion control; contact the news desk if you need help removing a comment. Reported comments can be reviewed and hidden by an editor. Reader comments are not verified identities or editorial endorsements.
Storage and withdrawal
Your analytics choice and its date are stored on your device for 180 days in the local storage entry scoretransfer-consent-v1. You can change your choice at any time using Manage cookie preferences above. Rejecting analytics removes accessible analytics cookies and stops future measurement. Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on is also available. Vercel hosts this website and processes technical requests and logs needed to deliver and protect it. Read Vercel’s privacy policy. Reader preferences such as saved stories remain on your device until you remove them or clear browser storage.
Advertising
Google AdSense advertising may appear after site approval and the applicable advertising setup. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet, subject to applicable consent and privacy choices.
Manage advertising & partners opens our homepage and requests Google's advertising consent panel when available. It identifies the participating vendors and their purposes and provides the applicable consent and objection controls. Advertising scripts do not load on this Privacy page. Advertising choices are separate from analytics consent; accepting analytics does not grant advertising consent.
You can also opt out of personalised Google advertising in Google My Ad Center. Other participating vendors offer choices through AboutAds. Read how Google uses information from sites using its services for details.
Saved stories and followed clubs remain in local browser storage; clearing it removes your preferences.
Football notifications
Notifications are optional and separate from cookie choices. After you grant browser permission, we store a push-service endpoint, encryption keys and a device management token to deliver match news, transfer updates and editorial digests, including an automatic morning roundup. Timing and frequency vary. Existing morning-only subscriptions retain their original scope until you opt into football updates. No name or email is required. Subscription data expires after six months; delivery records are kept for up to 30 days. Browser push providers relay notifications. Turn notifications off in Manage cookie preferences or your browser site settings. Blocking permission stops delivery to your device; expired endpoints are removed when the push provider reports them.
