FCSB owner Gigi Becali confirmed that Denis Drăguș was left out of the squad for the match against Rapid București due to the player's desire to play despite an injury.

FCSB defeated Rapid București 4-1 in the 13th round of the Superliga României on Saturday, 24 October 2026.
Gigi Becali stated that he removed Denis Drăguș from the squad for this match because the player wanted to play. Coach Laurențiu Reghecampf did not use Drăguș in the game against Rapid București.
Drăguș had been injured during the match against Universitatea Craiova in the tenth round of the league.
Despite his exclusion from the derby, Becali announced that Drăguș will play for half an hour in the upcoming match against Universitatea Cluj.
Denis Drăguș joined FCSB from Trabzonspor. Transfermarkt values the attacker at two million euros. Gigi Becali pays Drăguș an annual salary of approximately one million euros.
