Rapid Bucharest head coach Daniel Pancu has identified a need for additional experience in the squad ahead of the winter transfer window. Following a defeat to FCSB, the coach stated that the team requires two new players with significant experience to prepare effectively for the upcoming play-offs.

Pancu described this request as his only Christmas wish for the club. He indicated that while he has specific player profiles in mind, he has not provided exact names to the management. The coach emphasized that the leadership is already aware of his requirements for the January market.

The coach acknowledged potential financial constraints regarding these targets. He noted that the club has engaged in significant spending in recent years, which might make securing these experienced additions difficult. Reports indicate uncertainty about whether the budget will allow for such moves given previous expenditures.

Amidst discussions about incoming transfers, the club has moved to secure existing personnel. Players Kramer and Moruţan have signed contract extensions for another season. Meanwhile, Dobre is currently analyzing an offer presented by Rapid regarding his future with the team.

Pancu also addressed the status of striker Timotej Jambor. He confirmed that Jambor will continue to receive playing time as one of the team's three strikers. The coach stated that a full evaluation of the player will occur in the winter after he has played 20 games, but the team currently relies on his contributions.

Regarding other squad matters, Pancu stated he had no knowledge of any offer concerning player Onea. The club currently has six players who are either on loan or approaching the end of their contracts, adding complexity to the roster planning for the second half of the season.

In immediate team news, Cătălin Vulturar is unavailable for the upcoming match against Csikszereda due to strong cramps. Mohammed Kamara is available for selection. The match between Rapid and Csikszereda is scheduled for 30 October at 20:30.
