Victor Becali praises Daniel Pancu for changing Rapid's attitude before FCSB derby

Football agent Victor Becali has offered praise to Rapid Bucharest head coach Daniel Pancu ahead of the upcoming derby against FCSB. Known for his support of Dinamo Bucharest, Becali highlighted a significant transformation in the Giulesti-based club under Pancu's leadership. The agent emphasized that the most critical change has been in the team's mentality rather than its roster composition.

According to Becali, Rapid has not engaged in spectacular transfer market activities comparable to rivals such as FCSB and Universitatea Craiova. Instead, the club has focused on improving the players' approach to matches. Becali stated that while Rapid held top positions in the league table during the previous season, the current squad displays a different and more consistent attitude that was previously lacking.

The agent described Pancu as a true Rapid supporter who has returned home and fits perfectly with the club's identity. In an exclusive interview, Becali noted that Pancu is one of their own and has successfully aligned with the team's culture. This endorsement comes as Rapid prepares for a crucial fixture against their city rivals.

Despite praising Rapid's progress, Becali warned against dismissing FCSB from the title contention. He asserted that FCSB remains a viable candidate for the championship and should not be considered out of the race simply because they are not currently among the top three teams. The agent suggested that the competition for the title would remain open involving multiple clubs.

Becali also commented on Dinamo Bucharest, acknowledging the contributions of former coach Zeljko Kopic and official Campos to the team's current style of play. While appreciating the attractive football Dinamo is producing, he cautioned that aesthetic performance must be accompanied by victories. He concluded by emphasizing the importance of consistency and how teams manage difficult moments throughout the season.
