Rapid București has encountered difficulties in its attempt to offload striker Timotej Jambor. The club sought to transfer the player either on loan or permanently, but negotiations have not yielded the desired result. UTA Arad and FC Botoșani were among the teams contacted regarding a potential move. However, both clubs refused to pay the requested fee of 100,000 euros for the attacker.

The financial stakes are significant for Rapid București. The club paid 1,000,000 euros to sign Jambor in the summer of 2024. Officials had hoped he would become a key solution in attack, but his performance has not met expectations. Since arriving in Romania, the Slovak forward has made 32 appearances and scored only two goals. This output has raised questions about his future at the stadium.

Despite the lack of interest from other SuperLiga teams, Jambor remains under contract with Rapid București until 30 June 2028. The club must find a solution for a player who has not established himself as a consistent option. Previous attempts to move him included loan spells at Zilina and Slask Wrocław in Poland. These temporary moves did not lead to a permanent departure.

Jambor recently featured in the Romanian Cup. Coach Daniel Pancu started him in the match against Corvinul Hunedoara. The game ended in a 0-0 draw. Pancu substituted Jambor in the 60th minute, bringing on Olimpiu Moruțan. The striker had also started the previous cup match, a 2-0 victory over Timișoara. His continued presence in the squad appears linked to the lack of external offers rather than strong form.

Looking ahead, there are rumors that AS Trencin from Slovakia may be interested in signing Jambor. A return to his home country could offer a chance to restart his career. For Rapid București, such a move would help resolve a contractual situation that has not evolved according to initial plans. Daniel Sandu, who contributed to the original transfer, is no longer in a position to influence the outcome as the club seeks to mitigate its investment.
