AS Trencin reportedly interested in Rapid striker Timotej Jambor

Slovak side AS Trencin has expressed interest in signing Rapid Bucuresti striker Timotej Jambor, according to reports from iAMsport. The potential move could take place during the winter transfer window. This development comes as Jambor continues his tenure with the Romanian club after joining them in 2024.

Rapid Bucuresti paid a transfer fee of 1,000,000 euros to acquire Jambor in 2024. Since his arrival in the summer of that year, the striker has made 31 appearances for the team. During this period, he has scored two goals. His recent playing time has been limited under current management.

In the current season, Jambor has featured in five matches under coach Daniel Pancu. He has accumulated a total of 168 minutes on the pitch. His contributions include one assist. His most recent appearance came in a match against Corvinul Hunedoara, where he played the final 18 minutes of a 2-0 victory for Rapid.

AS Trencin currently sits in the second-to-last position in the Slovak championship. After ten rounds of fixtures, the club has collected eight points. The team is looking to strengthen its squad as it navigates the lower half of the table. Interest in Jambor represents a potential addition to their attacking options.

Rapid Bucuresti holds second place in the SuperLiga standings. The team has earned 27 points from 12 matches played. Their record consists of eight wins, three draws, and one loss. The club maintains a strong position in the domestic league despite the reported interest in one of its forwards.

The attacking lineup at Rapid includes several other players. Filip Stojilkovic is present on loan from Pisa. Antoine Baroan is currently injured. Jason Kodor is also part of the squad. These factors may influence the club's decisions regarding player movements in the coming transfer window.
