Agent Federico Pastorello has discussed the possibility of Florinel Coman returning to FCSB from his current club Al-Gharafa. The agent noted that high competition for foreign player spots in Qatar is a factor in the situation.
Reports indicate that Coman is close to leaving Al-Gharafa and that FCSB is open to facilitating his return. Arab sources have announced that the player will not continue his tenure at the Qatari club.
Coman has been under contract with Al-Gharafa since 2024, with the agreement scheduled to last until 2027. He earns a salary of two million euros per season at the club.
Al-Gharafa paid over 5 million euros plus 1 million euros in penalties to FCSB to secure Coman's transfer in the summer of 2024. This previous transaction established the financial link between the two clubs.
On the pitch, Coman has recorded one goal and two assists in eight matches this season for Al-Gharafa. His market value has decreased from seven million euros to three million euros according to Transfermarkt.
The squad dynamics at Al-Gharafa involve several other foreign players. Pedro Martins has served as the coach of Al-Gharafa since 2022.
Holgate and Hyun-soo Jang are foreign players at Al-Gharafa whose contracts expire in the summer and will not be renewed. Additionally, 36-year-old Yacine Brahimi may leave the club due to performance issues. These departures could influence the available roster spots.
