Mihai Iosif leaves Dunărea Călărași to take charge of ASA Tg. Mureș in Liga 2

Mihai Iosif is leaving his position at Dunărea Călărași just one month after his appointment on 18 September. He is set to take over as head coach of ASA Tg. Mureș in Liga 2.

AFC Dunărea 2005 Călărași announced the end of their collaboration with Iosif. The club stated that the separation was due to his decision to accept a new challenge in Liga 2.

Victor Petre and Ionel Colonel will assume responsibility for team preparation and match leadership at Dunărea Călărași. They will hold these roles until the club appoints a new head coach.

ASA Târgu Mureș parted ways with coach Eusebiu Tudor and his staff on 27 October. This decision followed three consecutive defeats for the team.

Gazeta Sporturilor reports that the management of ASA Târgu Mureș has reached an agreement with Mihai Iosif. The deal would see him replace Eusebiu Tudor, though this remains a report from a single outlet.

ASA Târgu Mureș currently sits in 14th place in the league table. The team has accumulated 11 points after 11 rounds of the current season.

Iosif left Dunărea Călărași in 9th place with 14 points from 10 rounds. He had joined the club when they were ranked 11th with zero points.

Mihai Iosif previously promoted Rapid to the Superliga after taking charge in March 2021. His coaching career also includes spells at Minaur, ASC FC Dinamo, and FC Voluntari.

Iosif had been without a contract since April 2025. This period of unemployment began when he separated from FC Voluntari.
