Frosinone’s position near the top of the Serie A table has increased the likelihood that the club will trigger a mandatory purchase clause for Daniel Bîrligea. The loan agreement with FCSB requires Frosinone to pay an additional 3.5 million euros if they avoid relegation at the end of the season.

Football Meets Data analysts have calculated a 96 percent probability that Frosinone will remain in Serie A. This statistical projection suggests that Gigi Becali is highly likely to receive the full transfer fee specified in the contract.

Experts estimate there is a 96 percent chance that Becali will collect the 3,500,000 euro clause. The owner already received 1.5 million euros for the initial loan of the striker during the summer transfer window.

Frosinone currently sits in sixth place in Serie A with 14 points after eight rounds. They trail Inter, Lazio, AS Roma, AC Milan, and Como in the standings. The team recently drew 4-4 with Atalanta in Bergamo after leading 3-2 at halftime.

The club secured a 1-0 home victory against Napoli on 17 October. Upcoming fixtures include matches against Lecce on 29 October and Cagliari on 7 November. In contrast, Venezia faces a 71.9 percent chance of relegation, while Parma and Udinese have probabilities of 56.5 percent and 40.2 percent respectively.

Daniel Bîrligea has made limited appearances for Frosinone this season. Reports indicate he played 13 minutes across three Serie A matches, while other records state he featured in four matches for a total of 76 minutes. He also played 63 minutes in an Italian Cup elimination by Sassuolo.

Bîrligea stated that his main objective is to help Frosinone avoid relegation. His current market value on Transfermarkt is listed at 4,500,000 euros. Meanwhile, Becali stated he is more interested in analyzing the Serie A table than the Romanian league standings.

There is a discrepancy regarding the final transfer amount. While the contract stipulates a 3.5 million euro payment, Becali stated he wants 5,000,000 euros if Frosinone remains in Serie A. Other reports suggest he is expected to receive 3,500,000 euros at the end of the 2026/2027 season.

In domestic news, FCSB has returned to a play-off position in SuperLiga României. The team obtained 9 points from 9 matches after Laurențiu Reghecampf joined the technical bench. FCSB recently defeated Rapid 4-1.
