FCSB owner Gigi Becali stated on Wednesday that the club will not rely on Arnold Garita for the second half of the season and will not extend his contract. Becali confirmed he intends to pursue other transfer targets during the winter window instead of keeping the Cameroonian forward. The decision means Garita’s temporary stay at the Romanian club is coming to an end before its natural conclusion.

Garita is expected to return to Shenzhen Juniors, the Chinese club from which he was loaned to FCSB in the summer of 2026. His current agreement with FCSB is valid until December 2026. Reports indicate that Garita earns a monthly salary of 44,000 euros from his contract with the Chinese side. During his time at FCSB, Becali paid 15,000 euros per month toward that salary.

In the first part of the season, Garita made nine appearances for FCSB, scoring one goal and providing two assists. His campaign was interrupted by a ligament strain suffered during a match against Rapid. Prior to joining FCSB, Garita played for FC Argeș, where he scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 40 matches during the 2022-2023 season.

Following the announcement, Garita posted a video reacting to the news of his departure. While his return to China appears likely, reports suggest he has received two offers from clubs in the second tier of Chinese football. Transfermarkt lists his contract as valid until 2027, though this detail remains uncertain.

Speculation about a potential return to FC Argeș has emerged, but Dani Coman stated it is premature to discuss such a move while Garita remains under contract with FCSB. Garita previously served a five-match suspension after receiving a red card in China’s second division. At FCSB, Valentin Crețu and Risto Radunovic are also approaching the end of their contracts.
