FC Argeș president Dani Coman announced his intention to sign FCSB defender Risto Radunovic. Coman stated he would speak with the player to determine if Radunovic intends to remain in Romania. The FC Argeș squad is currently coached by Bogdan Andone.

Radunovic has a contract with FCSB until the winter transfer window. Reports indicate that FCSB owner Gigi Becali is willing to let the player leave when his deal expires. This potential departure follows a period where Radunovic fell out of favor at the club.

Coman described Radunovic as a versatile player capable of operating as a left back, center back, or defensive midfielder. The FC Argeș president values the defender for his professionalism and tactical flexibility. Radunovic is currently valued at 400,000 euros.

The two men have a prior professional relationship. Coman facilitated Radunovic's initial move to Romania in 2017. At that time, Coman was president at Astra Giurgiu and signed the player from Buducnost Podgorica.

Gigi Becali transferred Radunovic from Astra Giurgiu to FCSB in January 2021 for a fee of 400,000 euros. Since joining the Bucharest club, the 34-year-old has made 240 appearances. He scored nine goals during this period.

Radunovic provided 30 assists for FCSB. He contributed to the team winning two league titles and two Romanian Super Cups. His recent honors include the last two league championships and the Supercup.

Tensions arose recently after coach Laurențiu Reghecampf started Radunovic as a defensive midfielder against FC Voluntari. FCSB won the match 2-1. Radunovic started the game after missing the previous six matches.

Gigi Becali expressed disappointment regarding the tactical decision to play Radunovic in midfield. The owner had previously considered removing the defender from the squad list. This consideration followed the arrivals of Muhar, Korenica, and Drăguș.

Ricardo Pădurariu currently serves as the starting left-back for FCSB. Pădurariu is eligible for the U21 rule. Radunovic earns a monthly salary of 20,000 euros at FCSB.
