CFR Cluj owner Nelu Varga stated he did not sign any contract or draft transferring 50% of the club to Hendrik Klein. Varga confirmed he remains the majority shareholder as of October 13, 2026.

Hendrik Klein claimed on October 12, 2026, that he purchased 50% of CFR Cluj shares. He also alleged he would receive profits from a real estate project associated with the deal.

Varga admitted discussing a deal where he would cede 50% of the club for 10 million euros but rejected the terms. A contract draft proposed this investment in exchange for the shares, which Varga refused to sign.

Varga expressed willingness to sell shares incrementally based on actual financial contributions. He cited figures such as 5 million or 3 million euros as potential bases for partial sales.

Varga stated that Hendrik Klein has contributed zero funds to CFR Cluj up to the publication of the report. This contradicts Klein's claim that he had secured ownership through financing.

Hendrik Klein is the new investor and proposed president of CFR Cluj, brought in by owner Ioan Varga. The club entered insolvency in August, creating a complex financial backdrop for these negotiations.

Klein stated he would not invest 10 million based solely on trust in Ioan Varga. He denied judicial administrator Răzvan Zăvăleanu's claim that he had disappeared recently.

Klein claimed he has received no money from CFR Cluj and paid his own expenses. He requested a salary of 5,000 euros per month as president, but Zăvăleanu disagreed with this arrangement.

Marian Copilu and Ioan Ivașcu asked Hendrik Klein for 80,000 euros. Klein refused to pay this amount without a structured plan in place.

The list of creditors for CFR Cluj is scheduled to be published on October 23. This date marks a key milestone in the ongoing insolvency proceedings for the club.

CFR Cluj defeated FC Argeș 1-0 in Mioveni during the 11th round of the SuperLiga. Hendrik Klein reportedly watched the restated Transylvania Derby from Stage 4 directly from the stadium.
