Ioan Varga, the owner of CFR Cluj, has expressed significant frustration with investor Hendrik Klein. Varga stated that he will handle the club's current issues alone. This decision follows a period where Klein failed to provide the necessary financial solutions while the club navigated insolvency.
Hendrik Klein is a German entrepreneur who is based in Switzerland. He was previously presented as the new president of CFR Cluj. Varga had given Klein a period of three months to present ideas for the club. The owner expected these proposals to help stabilize the organization.
The financial strain on the club led to salary cuts for the squad. These reductions were implemented because the salaries at CFR Cluj were the highest in Romania. The club entered insolvency in August, which triggered a review of its financial obligations and operational costs.
Klein stated that he would not invest 10 million based only on trust. This stance appears to have contributed to the breakdown in their working relationship. Varga claimed that he was away for two years and was unaware of the club's real situation before his recent return.
The list of creditors for CFR Cluj is scheduled to be published on October 23. This document will outline the debts owed by the club. Several individuals, including Zăvăleanu, Copilu, Ivașcu, and Deac, are monitoring the situation at the club closely.
