Wisła Kraków extends Mariusz Kutwa contract until 2028

Wisła Kraków has secured the future of defender Mariusz Kutwa by extending his contract. The new agreement binds the player to the club until 30 June 2028. The deal includes an option for an additional twelve months beyond that date.

Kutwa has established himself as a regular contributor since joining the squad. He has made 47 total appearances for Wisła Kraków. During these matches, he scored two goals and provided three assists.

His output in the previous year included eighteen appearances. In that period, he recorded one goal and one assist. His experience also extends to international youth competition. Kutwa played in three Euro qualification matches for the Poland youth national team. Those fixtures were against Italy, Sweden, and North Macedonia.

The extension follows a series of recent renewals at the club. Raoul Giger, Julius Ertlthaler, Darijo Grujcić, Julian Lelieveld, and Alan Uryga all signed new contracts with Wisła Kraków recently. The club is also engaged in negotiations for other players. Discussions are ongoing regarding new deals for Marko Bozic and Kacper Duda.

Wisła Kraków sits in fifth place in the league table after twelve matches. The team has accumulated 21 points. They trail the current leader, Lech Poznań, by seven points. The club holds a thirteen-point buffer above the relegation zone.

The team faces a demanding schedule in the immediate future. Wisła Kraków will play away against Lech Poznań in the coming weeks. They will also host Cracovia during this same period.
