The professional registration periods
The Polish regional association’s PZPN-based instructions confirm 1 July to 9 September 2026 for the men’s summer window. They distinguish filing a complete application by the deadline from the later confirmation of eligibility. An announcement after deadline day therefore does not by itself establish that a registration was late.

The local detail that matters
Poland’s winter dates should be checked against PZPN’s current professional registration notice. The FIFA snapshots available during this review showed conflicting winter ranges; this page deliberately does not publish a single winter deadline as settled. Lower-division notices can also use different periods and should not be applied automatically to Ekstraklasa.

Agreed, signed and registered are different stages
A reported agreement describes negotiations; a club announcement confirms what that club has stated. Neither should automatically be described as clearance to play. For an international move, identify the receiving club and its association, the player’s professional status and whether the necessary registration has been confirmed. Exceptions require their own supporting rule; “free agent” is not enough on its own to establish eligibility.
Keep the football context in view
Read the latest transfer reporting alongside the league schedule. A signing can arrive after the campaign has started, while a player registered during winter may join before league fixtures resume. These pages cover football context for readers; the federation’s current decisions remain the operational reference for clubs.
