FC Voluntari suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat against FCSB in the 12th round of the Romanian Superliga. The match ended with a late goal that secured the victory for the visitors.

Arnold Garita opened the scoring for FCSB, but Remus Guțea restored equality for the hosts with a notable execution. The decisive moment arrived in the 86th minute when Alexandru Stoian capitalized on an error by Șuteu to score the winning goal.

Florin Pîrvu, the coach of FC Voluntari, expressed frustration over the result, noting that his team failed to convert chances created by Babic. He stated that while the performance in the second half was satisfactory, the defensive mistake in the 86th minute proved costly.

Despite the loss, Pîrvu offered high praise for the opposing team. He asserted that FCSB possesses a very good squad with a winning mentality embedded in their DNA. The coach predicted that FCSB would clearly reach the play-offs and compete with real chances for the championship title.

The defeat leaves FC Voluntari in 15th place, second from bottom, with 8 points accumulated after 12 rounds. Pîrvu emphasized the urgent need for points but remained positive about his players' display against a strong opponent.
