Mihai Stoica, an official at FCSB, has clarified that the club is not interested in signing Remus Guțea from FC Voluntari. Stoica explained that the decision stems from specific tactical needs regarding defensive contribution. He stated that he is only interested in players who deliver performance in European competitions, which requires them to participate in defensive duties.
This statement follows reports that FC Voluntari refused a transfer offer for the player. The bid from FCSB was valued at 700,000 euros. Voluntari declined the proposal, keeping the 19-year-old at their club.
Guțea has been active in the Superliga this season. He has scored five goals in twelve matches. These statistics highlight his offensive output during the current campaign.
Market assessments place his value lower than the rejected bid. Transfermarkt lists the valuation of Guțea at 400,000 euros. This figure is significantly below the amount FCSB reportedly offered.
The forward has also gained experience at the international level. He has made two appearances for the Romania U21 national team. This indicates his involvement with youth national squads.
Guțea was previously registered with CS Mioveni before joining his current club. His career path includes time at this former team.
Mihai Stoica is 61 years old and serves as an official for FCSB. His comments reflect the club's current stance on potential transfers and player profiles.
