FCSB secured a narrow 2-1 victory against FC Voluntari in the 12th round of the SuperLiga, but the performance drew sharp criticism from former figures associated with the club. Despite the three points, concerns regarding the team's physical state and game management dominated the post-match discourse.

Adrian Ilie, a former international player, mocked the squad's lack of speed and endurance. He claimed that he could run faster than the entire FCSB lineup and noted that the players were making simple passing errors. Ilie described the team's overall display as resembling that of a side fighting to avoid relegation rather than a title contender, despite the positive result.

Nicolae Dică, another former coach of the team, directed his criticism at head coach Laurențiu Reghecampf for his halftime decisions. Dică argued that the substitutions made during the break caused a significant drop in intensity. Specifically, Reghecampf replaced Karlo Muhar and Meriton Korenica with Ofri Arad and Joao Paulo, a move Dicá believed disrupted the team's rhythm and allowed Voluntari back into the match.

The goals for FCSB were scored by Garita in the first half, followed by strikes from Guțea and Alexandru Stoian in the second period. While the offense delivered the necessary results, the defensive organization faced scrutiny after conceding a goal from a long ball situation that Reghecampf later described as easy to prevent.

In response to the criticism, Laurențiu Reghecampf offered a different perspective on the difficult nature of the win. The coach stated that he actually desires his team to suffer during matches, as it helps identify underlying issues and strengthens the players' character. He acknowledged that the physical condition of the squad needs improvement and expressed a desire for a more active and responsive team on the pitch.

With this victory, FCSB has accumulated 18 points after 12 rounds, placing them sixth in the standings. They remain 11 points behind the league leaders, Dinamo. The team now turns its attention to a crucial derby match against Rapid, scheduled for Saturday at 21:00, where they will look to address the fitness and consistency issues highlighted by their recent performance.
