Vlad Chiricheș names Gonzalo Higuain and Mousa Dembele as best teammates over Harry Kane

Vlad Chiricheș has named Gonzalo Higuain and Mousa Dembele as the best teammates he played with during his career. The Romanian defender excluded Harry Kane from this top spot in a recent interview.

Chiricheș recalled his time playing alongside Higuain at Napoli. He noted that the striker scored 36 league goals during that period.

The defender also praised Mousa Dembele. Chiricheș described him as an impressive left-footed player who was difficult to defend against, despite lacking specific aggression.

Chiricheș played with Harry Kane at Tottenham between 2013 and 2015. He stated that Kane was in the early stages of his career during their time together.

The former Spurs player claimed that Kane received four or five salary increases within a three-month period before Chiricheș left the club.

Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or. He finished ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal for the award.

During his acceptance speech, Kane thanked his wife Katie. He described her as his biggest supporter.

Kane also thanked his Bayern Munich colleagues and manager Vincent Kompany. He noted that Kompany is currently in hospital.

The striker credited Tottenham for his development. He thanked former managers including Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Roy Hodgson and Gareth Southgate.
