Dinamo defeated Sepsi OSK 2-0 in an away match on October 9, 2026. The victory extended Dinamo's lead at the top of the Superliga table to five points.
The final score was decided in the first half. Martin Pascual scored the opening goal for Dinamo. Reports vary on the exact minute, with sources citing the 22nd or 24th minute. Soro added a second goal in the 36th minute against goalkeeper Lazar.
Sepsi coach Ovidiu Burcă praised Dinamo after the match. He described them as the best team in the SuperLiga, citing their organization and player quality. Burcă also highlighted goalkeeper Alaa Bellaarouch, calling him an extra player due to his ability with the ball.
Burcă admitted that his players felt their inferiority during the game. He was particularly disturbed by the first goal, which came from a set piece. He stated that conceding early from a set-piece disrupted Sepsi's game plan.
Sepsi captain Nicolae Păun and teammate Doru Andrei also acknowledged Dinamo's superiority. They stated that Nuno Campos' side was the strongest opponent they had faced in the first 11 stages of the league.
Păun addressed the team's recent form. Sepsi has suffered two consecutive losses. He told Prima Sport 1 that the championship is long and warned against panicking. He noted that while losing twice in a row is unpleasant, the season remains lengthy.
Doru Andrei looked ahead to the next fixture. He expressed hope for securing three points in the upcoming match against Petrolul.
Dinamo manager Nuno Campos praised former Dinamo coach Ovidiu Burcă for his important work at the club. Campos stated that Dinamo was prepared for the match despite their position as league leaders.
The match featured a brief interruption. Play was paused for three minutes due to xenophobic chants from Dinamo fans.
Dinamo remains the only unbeaten team in the last nine rounds, recording seven wins and two draws. Sepsi OSK has recorded two wins and two draws as hosts in the current season.
