Dinamo secured a 2-0 victory over Sepsi at Stadionul Sfântul Gheorghe on October 9, 2026. The win marked the club's first triumph against Sepsi since 2019, according to coach Nuno Campos.

Defender Martin Pascual opened the scoring in the 24th minute. He converted a set-piece assisted by Danny Armstrong. This was Pascual's fifth goal for Dinamo, making him the team's top scorer in the SuperLiga.

Alberto Soro added a second goal in the 36th minute to seal the result. Danny Armstrong noted that scoring early shifted pressure onto the opposing team following the 2-0 outcome.

Pascual received praise from teammates and officials after the match. Gabi Torje highlighted his danger during fixed phases and his timing in the penalty area. Florin Prunea described him as a strong player.

The defender had previously been named Player of the Month for September in a GSP poll. After the match, Pascual stated he would not stop scoring.

The victory kept Dinamo at the top of the SuperLiga table with 26 points from 11 rounds. They held a five-point advantage over Rapid, who had not yet played their 11th round match. Dinamo also led Universitatea Craiova by six points, with both rivals having played one fewer game.

Under coach Nuno Campos, Dinamo recorded eight wins, two draws, and one loss in the first 11 rounds. Their only defeat came in the first round against Petrolul Ploiești.

Captain Cătălin Cîrjan dedicated the win to Cătălin Hîldan. The tribute marked 26 years since Hîldan's death on October 5, 2026. Cîrjan also addressed reports of dissatisfaction with the coaching staff, stating he respected all decisions and felt good.

Dinamo is aiming for its first championship title since 2007, when Mircea Rednic was the coach.
