FCSB president Mihai Stoica confirmed that Laurențiu Reghecampf will manage the team in their upcoming match against Oțelul. The game is scheduled for Saturday, 2026-10-10 at 21:30. This fixture will mark Reghecampf's official debut in his third stint with the club. Stoica provided this confirmation ahead of the match, which is set to take place at the Arena Națională.
The manager was successfully registered with the League Professional Football (LPF) after reports indicated his situation would be resolved. Golazo reported on Friday that the administrative hurdles had been cleared. This development followed financial disputes related to Reghecampf's departure from Universitatea Craiova in 2023. The resolution allows him to take his place on the touchline for the weekend fixture.
Stoica stated that the debt owed to Mihai Rotaru has been paid and that everything is now in order. This statement addressed fears stemming from a dispute over unpaid obligations. The conflict originated when Reghecampf left Universitatea Craiova to join Al-Tai in autumn 2023. The payment clears the path for his immediate involvement with FCSB.
The disputes involved alleged outstanding sums claimed by Universitatea Craiova. Reports suggested these included 150,000 euros plus 17,000 euros in penalties. These claims prompted inquiries by the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) commission. FCSB resolved the issue one day prior to the match against Oțelul, ensuring the manager's eligibility.
