Joyskim Dawa has confirmed that his agent has held discussions with multiple clubs regarding a potential transfer away from FCSB. The defender acknowledged these negotiations as he enters the final year of his current agreement with the Romanian side.
Dawa stated that he has not engaged in any talks with FCSB about extending his stay beyond the current term. His primary objective remains to see out the remainder of his deal and depart as a free agent when it expires.
Despite his preference to finish his contract, Dawa indicated that a winter departure could be possible. He noted that he would accept an early exit if the transfer offer proved beneficial for both himself and the club.
The player entered the final year of his contract in 2026. He originally signed with FCSB in 2022 on a four-year deal, which was extended to summer 2027 after the club activated a unilateral one-year option in 2025.
FCSB previously rejected transfer proposals for Dawa during the prior summer window. Club owner Gigi Becali had set a demand of 2,000,000 euros for the defender at that time.
Dawa joined FCSB from FC Botoșani for a fee of 350,000 euros. At the time of that move, his market value was assessed at 650,000 euros.
During his time in Bucharest, Dawa has made 160 appearances for the team. He has scored 15 goals and provided three assists, contributing to two league titles and one Romanian Super Cup victory.
His consistent performances have raised his current market value to 1,800,000 euros. In the current season, he has featured in 13 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal.
In the Superliga, Dawa has started 10 of the 12 matches played by FCSB this term. His only league goal so far came in a 2-2 draw against Farul Constanța.
He has started both matches since Laurențiu Reghecampf took over as coach. FCSB currently sits sixth in the Superliga table with 18 points.
Rapid occupies second place with 27 points, trailing leader Dinamo by two points. Ahead of the upcoming derby, Reghecampf acknowledged Rapid as favorites, while Daniel Pancu denied that any favorite status existed.
