Ioan Vermeșan has stated he is fully prepared to contribute to Widzew Lodz and is eager to receive more playing time. The Romanian forward made these comments during his first press conference since joining the Polish club on loan from Hellas Verona. He emphasized his readiness to perform if selected by the coaching staff.

The transfer involves a one-season loan agreement that includes a clause allowing Widzew to make the move permanent. Vermeșan chose the Polish project over other interests, including links to Atalanta in Italy and U Cluj in Romania. Widzew Lodz finished 14th in the previous top-flight campaign, providing a platform for the young striker.

Vermeșan made his debut in the Polish top division on October 16, appearing in the final fifteen minutes of a goalless draw against Wisla. He had previously been included in the squad for a match against Piast earlier in the month. The forward noted that he feels comfortable operating as either a central striker or a second forward.

Adapting to the new environment, Vermeșan reported that he understands approximately 40 percent of the Polish language used on the pitch. He communicates primarily in English and Italian with teammates but is actively learning local vocabulary. The player expressed appreciation for the club's supporters after his initial experiences at the stadium.

Before moving to Poland, Vermeșan accumulated significant experience in the youth ranks of Hellas Verona. He recorded 35 goals and 15 assists in 91 appearances for the club's U20 team. His current market value is estimated at one million euros, reflecting his potential as a developing talent in European football.
