CFR Cluj secured a 1-0 victory against FC Argeș in the 11th round of the SuperLiga. The match took place in Mioveni under difficult weather conditions. Heavy rain fell throughout the day on Monday, October 12. The temperature at kick-off was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius.

FC Argeș officials worked to prepare the playing surface before the start of the game. They aerated and compacted the pitch to help drain accumulated water. Despite the wet conditions, referee Andrei Chivulete allowed the match to proceed.

The only goal of the match arrived in the 58th minute. Andrej Kresić scored with a header from five meters out. The chance was created by a cross from Andrei Cordea. This strike proved to be the difference between the two sides.

The game concluded after 90 minutes plus four minutes of added time. The final score remained 1-0 in favor of the visitors from Cluj. This result extended a difficult run for the home team.

FC Argeș has now gone seven consecutive SuperLiga matches without a win. Before this fixture, the club sat in 13th place with 11 points from 10 rounds. Their record included four wins and one draw in the first ten rounds. They had not recorded a win since round 5.

CFR Cluj entered the match ranked 10th with 13 points. The team was looking to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat to Universitatea Cluj four days earlier. Marius Șumudică is the coach of the CFR Cluj side.

Following the victory, CFR Cluj moved up to eighth place in the table with 16 points. FC Argeș remained in 13th position with 11 points. The previous meeting between these two clubs had ended in a 1-1 draw.

Spectators at the stadium sought shelter from the persistent rain. Most fans gathered in the only covered stand at the venue. FC Argeș supporters displayed a portrait of Nicolae Dobrin in the stands during the match.

Marius Șumudică remained on the touchline without protection from the rain for the entire first half. He was seen complaining to referee Andrei Chivulete about decisions made during the initial 45 minutes of play.
