Gloria Bistrița have secured the services of Darius Alexandru Grigore, a 19-year-old striker and Romanian youth international, just one day before their upcoming Cupa României fixture against FCSB. The club confirmed the arrival of the forward ahead of the second round of the competition's group stage, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Grigore brings experience from several Romanian clubs, having previously featured for FC Argeș, Corvinul Hunedoara and Concordia Chiajna. His most recent engagement was with SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea, where he demonstrated his capability in domestic cup competitions. During his time there, he scored in the fourth round of the Cupa României against Chindia Târgoviște.

The match against Chindia Târgoviște ended in a 1-1 draw after regular time, with SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea eventually losing 6-5 in the penalty shootout. Grigore has also earned caps for Romania at Under 18 and Under 19 levels, marking him as a prospect with international youth experience. His addition to the Gloria Bistrița squad comes as they prepare to face FCSB in a high-profile cup encounter.
