Meriton Korenica joins FCSB from CFR Cluj after rejecting Universitatea Craiova
Meriton Korenica has completed a move to FCSB from CFR Cluj, turning down an offer from Universitatea Craiova.

Meriton Korenica left CFR Cluj last month to sign with FCSB. He rejected an offer from Universitatea Craiova during the process.
Korenica stated he chose FCSB because he believes it is the best team in Romania. He cited the club's annual competition for titles as a key factor in his decision.
The move comes despite recent domestic results favoring his former suitor. In the previous season, Universitatea Craiova won all domestic trophies. FCSB failed to reach the play-off during that same campaign.
FCSB is currently ranked 11th in the league table for the current season. This position reflects the team's standing at the time of the report.
Korenica expressed happiness at reuniting with Karlo Muhar at FCSB. Muhar also played for CFR Cluj prior to this transfer window.
