FCSB defeated Rapid București 4-1 on 24 October 2026 in round 13 of the Romanian Superliga. The match took place at Arena Națională.

Following the victory, FCSB remained behind league leader Dinamo by 8 points. The team also trailed Rapid by 6 points in the standings.

FCSB owner Gigi Becali announced plans to sign at least three new players during the winter transfer window. He stated this move would increase the value of the team.

Becali expressed a dislike for small players. He stated a preference for tall footballers, unless the smaller players perform at the level of Lionel Messi or Luka Modric.

Commentator Emil Grădinescu contradicted the owner's stance. He noted that the offensive success of FCSB relied on small, technical players such as Cisotti and Boutoutaou.

Coach Laurențiu Reghecampf had promised Becali he would win his first 10 consecutive matches upon returning for his third stint with the club.

Reghecampf has won three consecutive matches since his return. The victories came against Oțelul Galați with a 1-0 scoreline, FC Voluntari with a 2-1 result, and Rapid with a 4-1 win.
