FCSB owner approves training base investments after three consecutive wins

FCSB owner Gigi Becali approved coach Laurențiu Reghecampf's request for investments in the training base without questioning the cost. Mihai Stoica stated that Reghecampf requested these improvements to the facility at Berceni.

Stoica claimed that reinforcing the pitch costs 250,000 euros and expressed confidence that Becali would approve the expenditure. Reports indicate the owner did not ask about the price before agreeing to the investment.

The approval comes as FCSB achieved three consecutive victories under Reghecampf. The team won three out of three matches, including a 4-1 victory against Rapid and a 2-1 win over FC Voluntari.

FCSB is ranked sixth in the Superliga with 21 points after 13 rounds. This standing follows a period of instability under former coach Marius Baciu, who was dismissed after a 0-5 loss to Universitatea Craiova.

Baciu recorded four wins, three draws, and six losses in 13 matches across all competitions this season. He had stated he expected the team to improve after the international break before his departure.

Stoica stated that Reghecampf intends to stay at FCSB long-term. The coach has also focused on player management, describing Dennis Politic as smart and eager to play football.

Reports suggest Reghecampf asked Becali to stop publicly criticizing Politic. The player has a contract with FCSB until summer 2029 and receives a monthly salary of 20,000 euros.

Politic has scored 4 goals in 31 matches for FCSB. Transfermarkt values the player at 650,000 euros.

FCSB will face Gloria Bistrița in the Romanian Cup Group C on Thursday, 29 October 2026, at 21:30. The team is also scheduled to play against Universitatea Cluj on Monday.
