The Romanian Football Federation sent the official coaching license document to Laurențiu Reghecampf on October 16. This administrative action allows the manager to lead FCSB in their upcoming match against FC Voluntari. The issuance of the license marks the resolution of a disciplinary issue that had prevented Reghecampf from officially taking charge.

Reghecampf returned to FCSB for his third managerial mandate. His appointment was contingent on clearing outstanding financial obligations. The FRF Disciplinary and Ethics Commission ruled on October 14 that Reghecampf had settled his debt to Universitatea Craiova. This ruling paved the way for the federation to lift previous restrictions.

The financial dispute originated from a contract termination three years prior. Reghecampf unilaterally terminated his contract with Universitatea Craiova to join Al-Tai. The termination clause was valued at 300,000 euros. At the time of the recent ruling, Reghecampf had a remaining debt of 150,000 euros from this agreement.

The FRF lifted the disciplinary sanction against Reghecampf upon confirmation of the debt payment. The original sanction had been applied on January 31, 2024. With the sanction removed and the license issued, Reghecampf is fully authorized to perform his duties as the head coach of FCSB.

Reghecampf commented on the public nature of the dispute. He stated that owners at Rapid, Dinamo, and Craiova also dismiss players but are less vocal than Gigi Becali. This remark highlights the manager's perspective on how different club administrations handle contractual disagreements and public relations.
