Former Rapid official Grigore Sichitiu has publicly criticized the current form of striker Filip Stojilkovic. Sichitiu stated that the player has not met expectations since arriving at the club. He highlighted the disparity between the investment made by the team and the output on the pitch so far this season.

Sichitiu pointed to specific statistics to support his view. He noted that Stojilkovic scored only one goal in the first 10 matches of the campaign. This return has drawn scrutiny given the role expected of a primary striker in the Romanian Superliga.

The former club official also addressed comments made by head coach Pancu. Pancu had suggested that fatigue was a factor in the striker's recent displays. Sichitiu expressed confusion over this explanation. He insisted that strikers must always be present in the box regardless of physical condition, implying that tiredness should not excuse a lack of presence in key areas.

Stojilkovic did contribute to a recent win for Rapid. He provided one assist during a 3-1 victory against FC Argeș. While this play helped secure three points, it has not silenced concerns about his overall goal contribution rate in the league.

The criticism comes against the backdrop of a significant financial commitment by Rapid. The club paid 200,000 euros to secure the loan of Stojilkovic until summer 2027. This fee was paid to bring the forward to Bucharest from Italian side Pisa during the summer transfer window.

Stojilkovic arrived with a strong reputation from Swiss football. His previous records show he scored 16 goals in 35 games for FC Aarau. He also netted 19 goals in 69 appearances for FC Sion. These figures established him as a reliable scorer before his move to Italy and subsequent loan to Romania.
