FCSB secured a convincing 4-1 victory over FC Rapid in a Liga 1 derby at Arena Națională. The result extended head coach Laurențiu Reghecampf's winning streak to three matches since taking charge of the team.

Rapid took an early lead when Stojilkovic scored in the 11th minute, finishing a cross from Ouedraogo. However, FCSB responded strongly in the second half to overturn the deficit.

Muhar equalized for the home side in the 58th minute, with his shot deflecting off defender Pașcanu and beating goalkeeper Ungureanu. Boutoutaou then put FCSB ahead in the 68th minute with a placed shot into the far corner.

Joao Paulo extended the lead in the 79th minute after receiving an assist from substitute Alexandru Stoian, who had replaced Arnold Garita before halftime. Boutoutaou completed his brace in the 81st minute, capitalizing on a pass from Cisotti to seal the win.

Going into the match, Rapid were considered favorites by Reghecampf himself, citing their strong form and second-place standing in the table with 27 points. Daniel Pancu's side had won five consecutive league games prior to this defeat.
