Dinamo Bucharest is seeking to clarify the contractual future of Spanish midfielder Alberto Soro, as negotiations between the club and the player have reportedly stalled. Andrei Nicolescu, an official at the club, confirmed that discussions have not advanced in recent weeks, leaving the situation unresolved ahead of the next competitive pause.

Despite the lack of recent progress, Nicolescu expressed optimism that a solution could be reached soon. He stated that the club hopes to finalize matters within the next two weeks, specifically aiming for clarity before the November international break begins.

The primary point of contention remains the financial value of the player's release clause. While both parties have reportedly agreed on the general terms of a potential new contract, they differ significantly on this specific clause. Dinamo Bucharest is insisting on a release fee of one million euros or higher, whereas Soro's representation has proposed a substantially lower figure.

The urgency of the negotiations is driven by the timeline of Soro's existing deal. His current contract with Dinamo is valid until the summer of 2027. However, if no extension is agreed upon, the midfielder would be eligible to enter into pre-contractual negotiations with other clubs starting in January, potentially leading to a free transfer at the end of the season.

Alberto Soro arrived at Dinamo Bucharest in the summer of 2024, joining from Granada after a loan period at Portuguese side Chaves. Since returning to the Romanian capital, he has become a key figure in the team's setup. In the current season, Soro has contributed four goals and two assists to the club's campaign.
