Dinamo Bucharest president Andrei Nicolescu has reached an understanding with agent Giovanni Becali regarding the future of midfielder Adrian Mazilu. Both parties agree that the 20-year-old needs more consistent playing time to regain his form. Nicolescu indicated that the club is monitoring the situation and remains open to a separation during the winter transfer window if necessary.

Becali recently announced his intention to find a solution for his client, which could involve a loan move in January. The agent emphasized that Mazilu needs to play match after match to return to his best level. He suggested a period of six months with 15 to 20 appearances would be ideal for the player's development.

Mazilu joined Dinamo in the summer of 2025 from Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported fee of 400,000 euros. Since arriving in Bucharest, he has struggled to secure a starting role. This season, he has made six appearances, contributing one goal and one assist. His only goal so far came in a 4-0 victory over Voluntari.

Nicolescu acknowledged the difficulty of displacing current starters, specifically referencing players with high statistical outputs such as five goals and ten assists. He noted that while Mazilu trains well and maintains a good attitude, competition for his position is intense. The president stated that the final decision on selection rests with the coaching staff based on performance metrics.

Becali admitted that Danny Armstrong's current form makes him undroppable, stating that no other player at Dinamo could currently replace him. Consequently, the agent believes a temporary move away from Ștefan cel Mare is the best option for Mazilu. Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe had previously shown interest in a loan deal during the summer, but the player remained with Dinamo.
