Commentator criticizes Universitatea Craiova coach for excluding Steven Nsimba

Commentator Bogdan Cosmescu has publicly criticized the recent team selection decisions at Universitatea Craiova, specifically targeting the exclusion of forward Steven Nsimba. During an appearance on the Fotbal Show, Cosmescu drew a direct comparison between Nsimba and his teammate Assad Al-Hamlawi, asserting that the French attacker offers superior qualities despite being left out of the squad.

Nsimba has not featured in recent matches after reportedly falling out of favor with head coach Filipe Coelho. While both players had previously formed an effective attacking partnership for the club, Cosmescu highlighted that Nsimba's situation has changed significantly in the recent period, leading to his complete absence from the matchday squads.

The commentator expressed his view that Nsimba is clearly better than Al-Hamlawi, describing him as a different type of striker who is strong and causes problems for defenses. Although acknowledging that Al-Hamlawi possesses certain technical executions, Cosmescu maintained that Nsimba's physical profile and impact make his omission questionable.

Cosmescu emphasized the irregularity of the situation by noting that it is not normal for a player of Nsimba's caliber to go without playing time for four consecutive matches. He stated that while tactical decisions are not his responsibility, he believes the current approach is a mistake given the comparative abilities of the two forwards.
