FCSB and Rapid prepare for round 13 derby as Dinamo leads SuperLiga

FCSB will host Rapid in the Round 13 SuperLiga derby on Saturday, 24 October 2026. The match is scheduled for 21:00 at Arena Națională. This fixture marks the first direct duel between coaches Laurențiu Reghecampf and Daniel Pancu.

Rapid enters the match in second place in the SuperLiga table with 27 points. FCSB sits in sixth place with 18 points. Dinamo leads the league with 29 points after 12 rounds.

Mihai Pintilii identified Laurențiu Reghecampf as the main argument for FCSB in this derby. He stated that Reghecampf started his third mandate well and is on track to qualify for the play-off. Pintilii noted that Reghecampf has demonstrated an ability to win important matches and transmits a specific spirit to the team.

Pintilii asserted that league position does not provide a clear comparison, noting that Rapid previously beat FCSB despite a large gap in the standings. His view contrasts with market odds, which favor Rapid.

Several former players and coaches view Rapid as the favorite. Victor Pițurcă, Marius Șumudică, Bogdan Lobonț, Dan Alexa, Cristi Pulhac, and Ionel Dănciulescu have all expressed support for Rapid. However, Aurel Țicleanu considers FCSB the favorite due to higher individual player value.

Transfermarkt values the Rapid squad at 29.5 million euros. The site values the FCSB squad at 24.4 million euros. Mihai Stoica claims FCSB has a superior squad and budget compared to Rapid. He expects over 30,000 spectators at the match.

Cristi Borcea, a former Dinamo shareholder from 1995 to 2012, commented on the title race.
