Andrei Cordea retains a CFR cap signed by former player Cadu at his home, a memento from his childhood. Cordea received the item after visiting a team training session near Iulius Mall when he was young. He recalled approaching Cadu as the practice was ending to request a signature on the cap he had received as a gift.
Cordea left his family and friends at the age of ten to continue his football development in Cluj. During this period, he lived in a dormitory environment without a television. Despite the separation from his family, he spent nearly every moment of the day surrounded by other children in the academy setup.
Reflecting on that era, Cordea described his childhood as very beautiful. He noted that mobile phones were not prevalent at the time, allowing him and his peers to spend entire days together. He remembered attending school with these friends and feeling that their shared stories and time together were endless.
When considering what he might say to his younger self watching that CFR training session, Cordea said he would not reveal future teams or goal totals. Instead, he stated he would tell the boy to remain calm and assured him that everything would be fine.
