Andrei Burcă is reportedly inclined to extend his stay with Yunnan Yukun in China for another season. This development comes as his current contract with the Chinese club is set to expire in December.
Universitatea Cluj has attempted to sign Burcă during the winter transfer window. However, the Romanian club faces financial disparities when compared to the offer available in China.
Radu Constantea, president of Universitatea Cluj, estimated a 50 percent chance of signing Burcă. He noted that financial considerations could lead the player to remain in China.
Burcă has earned 47 caps for the Romania national team. His experience at the international level adds weight to the interest shown by clubs seeking defensive reinforcements.
Yunnan Yukun currently sits sixth in the Chinese top flight. The club has accumulated 39 points from 28 matches, recording 11 wins, six draws and 11 losses.
