Al-Jazira secured a 2-2 draw against Ittihad Kalba in the sixth round of the UAE Pro League. The result left head coach Cosmin Olăroiu visibly upset during the post-match proceedings.

Olăroiu directed criticism at his squad for displaying a poor attitude, particularly during the first half of the contest. He noted that the players' performance levels had dropped significantly compared to their form before joining their respective national teams.

The Romanian coach also launched a strong critique of the match official, accusing the referee of allowing excessive time-wasting by the opposition. Olăroiu estimated that the effective playing time amounted to only about twenty minutes due to constant interruptions.

He highlighted a specific incident where the opposing goalkeeper took twelve seconds to take a goal kick. Although the referee issued a yellow card for the delay, Olăroiu argued that a corner kick should have been awarded according to the regulations.

Despite his grievances regarding the officiating, Olăroiu acknowledged that these factors did not excuse the team's inability to secure a victory. He stressed that proper football must be played to maintain spectator interest and improve the overall standard of the game.
