SK Slavia Prague head coach Jindřich Trpišovský has confirmed that striker Tomáš Chorý will not play for the club again. The decision follows Chorý's dismissal during a recent league match against Hradec Králové. Trpišovský stated that the player would not travel with the squad to Istanbul and that his future would be addressed only after the team returns to Prague.
Chorý was sent off in the 55th minute of the match for unsporting behavior. Referee Jan Všetečka noted in his report that the striker directed a middle finger gesture toward him. This incident marked Chorý's fourth red card in the last two seasons, highlighting a pattern of disciplinary issues.
The situation echoes previous tensions within the club. Slavia board chairman Jaroslav Tvrdík had previously declared that Chorý would never play for Slavia again following earlier controversies, including an incident in a derby against Sparta. However, club owner Pavel Tykač had intervened at that time, allowing Chorý to return to the squad after support from teammates and coaches.
Chorý's contractual situation is now clear. His current deal with Slavia is set to expire at the end of the season. While a contract extension had been under consideration, Trpišovský indicated that this possibility has now been discarded. The coach emphasized that the team must proceed without the striker for the remainder of the campaign.
Chorý joined Slavia from Plzeň in the summer of 2024. During his tenure, he contributed to two league titles for the Prague club. Although Plzeň had shown interest in the striker during the autumn, a return to his former club is now considered unlikely given the nature of his departure from Slavia.
