The Czech disciplinary commission has confirmed that the red card issued to Slavia Prague striker Tomáš Chorý was the correct decision. The commission reviewed video evidence of the incident and concluded that the player's actions warranted dismissal. According to the committee, Chorý made an offensive gesture by raising his middle finger at the referee to express disagreement with a ruling. The body described the referee's immediate reaction as appropriate given the nature of the insult.
The incident occurred in the 55th minute of the match against Hradec Králové. Chorý reacted after a challenge by opponent Tomáš Petrášek, which the referee did not penalize as a foul. Following the dismissal, Slavia Prague played the remainder of the game with ten men. The match ultimately ended in a goalless draw, with neither side able to break the deadlock despite the numerical advantage for Hradec Králové.
Slavia Prague head coach Jindřich Trpišovský responded decisively to the situation. He announced that Chorý would not feature for the team again, marking a definitive end to the striker's time at the club. This decision follows a pattern of disciplinary problems for the player, who has accumulated four red cards over the past two seasons. Trpišovský indicated that the club would determine the specific details of Chorý's departure in the coming days.
