How Czech clubs qualify for Europe

Start with the domestic competition

Chance Liga’s published model distinguishes the top-six title group from the four-team placement bracket. Winning the bracket for positions seven to ten is not an automatic European qualification route. The final championship ranking and the MOL Cup outcome are the relevant domestic starting points.

Why the cup and final standings matter

The league’s European-entry section contains references to more than one UEFA season. Read the year beside each route before using it. A place earned through the 2026–27 domestic campaign normally concerns the following European campaign; it is not evidence of participation in Europe during autumn 2026.

Which European season does the place belong to?

Separate the season in which a place is earned from the European season it admits a club to. Domestic results in 2026–27 usually concern entry in 2027–28. UEFA’s access list identifies entry stages by association and competition; coefficient positions, rebalancing and admission requirements mean a table position should not be converted into a guaranteed league-phase place.

What happens when qualification routes overlap?

If the domestic cup winner also earns a Champions League place, UEFA’s entry rules adjust the remaining allocation. The cup runner-up does not simply inherit the winner’s European berth. Before calling a club qualified, check the final domestic results, applicable cup overlap, the correct season’s access list and licensing or disciplinary decisions.
