Petrolul Ploiești has confirmed that its upcoming home match against Sepsi will take place at the Ilie Oană stadium. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 17:15. This decision follows recent maintenance work on the playing surface, which ensures the venue remains approved for professional competition.

The Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal (LPF) had previously raised concerns about the state of the pitch. In mid-September, the league notified the club that the condition of the turf risked the withdrawal of the arena's homologation. Such a move would have forced Petrolul to find an alternative venue for their home fixtures.

Local authorities intervened to address the issue before it led to a venue change. Ploiești Mayor Mihai Polițeanu announced in late September that part of the turf at the Ilie Oană stadium would be replaced. This action was taken to meet the standards required by the league and to allow the team to continue playing at their traditional home ground.

The club last played a home match at the stadium on September 21. On that occasion, Petrolul defeated Csikszereda with a score of 2-0. The successful completion of the pitch repairs means the team can return to the Ilie Oană without disruption for the fixture against Sepsi.

Beyond immediate operational issues, the club is also addressing its financial obligations. Petrolul president Claudiu Tudor stated that the club intends to settle its existing debts. This process will be carried out through the club's reorganization plan, aiming to stabilize its long-term standing.
