Nana Falemi defends Reghecampf against Becali's possession demands

FCSB defeated FC Voluntari 2-1 in a Superliga match on Monday evening. The halftime score was 1-0. Alexandru Stoian scored the winning goal for FCSB in the 85th minute.

Gigi Becali stated he did not see beautiful possession football from the team during the match. This comment followed a victory that kept the club's recent positive momentum.

Nana Falemi defended head coach Laurențiu Reghecampf against these criticisms. He stated that Reghecampf's teams are known for force rather than possession. Falemi claimed Becali is unrealistic for expecting such a style change in a short time.

Falemi noted that implementing a possession game requires at least six months. He added that even Jose Mourinho cannot implement possession football overnight. These comments highlighted the difficulty of changing tactical identity quickly.

The former player suggested Victor Pițurcă or Costel Gâlcă as alternatives if the owner insists on possession-based football. This recommendation offered specific names associated with that tactical approach.

FCSB won both matches under Laurențiu Reghecampf since his appointment. This record included a 1-0 victory over Oțelul Galați. The recent win against FC Voluntari maintained this perfect start.

Statistics showed FCSB had over 60 percent possession in both matches under Reghecampf. This data contrasts with the owner's public dissatisfaction regarding the team's style of play.
