Karviná coach West praises team after securing nine points from tough fixtures

MFK Karviná coach West expressed satisfaction after his team secured nine points from a challenging run of fixtures. The club achieved victories away at Táborsko, at home against Dukla Prague, and most recently in Ústí nad Labem. West described these three matches as the toughest opponents they could have faced in the second league.

In the match against Ústí nad Labem, Karviná established a 2:0 lead by halftime. West noted that the team executed their planned actions effectively during the first half. However, he admitted the result remained uncomfortable until the end, as the opponent could still change tactics or score.

Ústí nad Labem reduced the deficit to 1:2, but Karviná responded by scoring a third goal. West stated that this third goal calmed the team down. He acknowledged that Ústí was dangerous in combination play, but his side managed to secure the valuable result.

West praised the entire squad but specifically highlighted Adam Kronus, who scored two goals in the match. The coach noted that Kronus is currently the top scorer in the second league with seven goals. West credited Kronus with essentially deciding the match in Ústí single-handedly.

The victory extended Karviná's winning streak to four consecutive matches. Despite their high position in the table, West urged humility, noting that a draw and a loss could quickly change their situation. He emphasized the need for continued hard work and preparation.

Looking ahead, West identified the upcoming home match against Slavia Prague B as extremely difficult. He described the opposition as possessing many excellent individual players and fast types. The coach stressed that his team must prepare thoroughly for this demanding fixture.
