Italian media are speculating that Czech defender Vitík may leave Bologna during the winter transfer window. This speculation arises from his lack of playing time and a reported decrease in his market value. Vitík has not featured in any matches since the change in coaching staff.

The defender did not play in the first seven matches of the season under former coach Domenico Tedesco, who utilized a four-man defense. He has also remained unused by current manager Vincenzo Palladino, who employs a trio of centre-backs. The club is reportedly monitoring Vitík's utilization of opportunities in upcoming fixtures, with a potential exit looming if his situation does not improve.

Vitík's position appears precarious despite recent squad developments. Matteo Darmian arrived at the team and plays as a right centre-back in the three-man defense, despite having months without football practice. This selection suggests that other options, such as Lysaker Helland and Fauske Heggem, have not yet inspired sufficient confidence for the role.

However, Il Resto del Carlino emphasizes that no formal winter squad meetings have occurred at the club. While the coach and management communicate daily, these discussions do not currently involve specific roster adjustments. Vincenzo Palladino has led the team for only three matches prior to the international break, during which eleven players departed for national duty.

The team faces four matches before the next break on November 7, including fixtures against Udinese and Venezia. These games are viewed as critical for the remainder of the season, leading the club to avoid distractions from squad change debates. Nevertheless, an Italian newspaper noted that Bologna might strengthen its right side in winter with a wing-back or another centre-back, which could further complicate Vitík's prospects.
