Assistant referee Jan Saňák left the pitch in the 22nd minute of a seventh-tier league match between Žamberk and Lanškroun B on 10 October. This incident triggered immediate consequences for his administrative roles within the regional football structure.
Saňák resigned as chairman of the Pardubice Region Referees Commission with immediate effect following his misconduct during the game. René Živný was temporarily appointed to manage the referees commission after Saňák vacated the position. On 23 October, Lukáš Raplík was appointed as the new permanent chairman of the Pardubice Region Referees Commission.
Václav Kotyza, vice-chairman of the Bohemian Control Committee, stated that Saňák should also leave his posts in the regional and district executive committees. Kotyza welcomed the decision to refer Saňák to the disciplinary committee. He described the affair as a black mark for the association leadership.
Kotyza offered assistance to the Pardubice Football Association but received no personal response. He claimed that Saňák's incident was not an isolated failure, citing experiences from other referees, though this assertion remains uncertain.
René Živný currently holds the position of chairman of the Pardubice regional football association. The association is scheduled to elect a new chairman in two years. An unnamed individual is seriously considering running for chairman of the Pardubice regional football association.
Živný recently received a red card as coach of Semín in a U19 district championship match against Kunčice and Nový Bydžov for using offensive language. This separate incident occurred while he was managing the referees commission on a temporary basis.
Both Saňák and Živný were given space to comment on the current state and individual cases. Saňák refused to comment on the events of the recent weeks. He could not give a clear answer when asked if he still serves on the association's executive committee.
Chairman René Živný did not respond to phone calls or text messages regarding the situation. The lack of communication from both figures has drawn attention from oversight bodies within the Czech football structure.
