Heavy machinery arrived at the Ștefan cel Mare construction site on Monday, 13 October 2026. This movement marks the start of a new phase of works for the new Dinamo stadium.

The resumption of activity follows a six-month pause in construction that began earlier in the year. Work officially restarted in early October 2026 after this extended break.

The halt in construction occurred because the builder requested a change to the technical foundation solution. This adjustment required a review of the initial plans before work could continue.

Following these project adaptations, the new arena's foundation will be built on drilled piles in the main area. This technical change defines the current scope of the groundwork.

Contractors Bog’art, ACI Cluj, and Straco began bringing heavy equipment and workers to the site. Their presence signals the beginning of phase II of the construction works.

The new CS Dinamo stadium is designed to have 26,217 seats. The venue is being built to meet UEFA standards for international competitions.

The facility will feature four dressing rooms and two warm-up halls for players. It will also include 12 VIP boxes for guests and officials.

The venue will include a VIP hospitality space of at least 400 square meters. Parking facilities will be available for up to 200 cars.
