Greek media report that Octavian Popescu could return to FCSB from Levadiakos during the winter transfer window.
The Romanian forward joined Levadiakos on loan in mid-September 2026. The agreement was set to last until the end of the season.
Recent reports suggest Popescu has not convinced Levadiakos officials. This lack of impression has led to speculation about a potential early termination of his loan deal.
Popescu has seen limited action since arriving in Greece. He played 36 minutes against Olympiacos. He featured for 15 minutes against Iraklis Salonic. He completed a full 90 minutes against Volos.
Levadiakos is currently in second-to-last place in the Greek league. The team has earned two points from seven matches. They have scored zero goals during this period.
Coach Elias Charalambous faces pressure due to the poor performance of the team. Greek journalists suggest his tenure is uncertain amid the current results.
Mihai Pintilii stated he had no issues with Popescu. He believed the player would reach 80 percent of his potential after the competitive break.
